The solution was to use a leading mobile javascript library called SenchaTouch for the presentation layer. The back-end was then tied into their existing CMS solution.
Custom search results and form entry logic was then used to feed the requests correctly back into the existing system for storage and rules processing.
Also important was to make editing the content for mobile users as easy as editing content for desktop users. This was accomplished by linking and targeting specific content in the CMS to 'pages' in the mobile application.
The result was a system that could 'identify' and 'reroute' mobile devices into a mobile friendly content experience while still using the same tools and editors that the client was comfortable with.
Even the franchise prospecting was fed into the same reporting engine for franchise prospects with specific information that the leads came from mobile users.
